A native of Chicago, IL, Dr. Cathleen Coyne has nearly 30 years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She began practicing in 1997, opening up her own practice in Cool Springs in 2004. She is committed to providing compassionate care for her patients, from their initial consultation and diagnosis to post-treatment follow-up. The attentive care and enthusiasm she shows for her patients is what sets Coyne Oral Surgery apart, making our practice one of the leading oral surgery centers in Franklin, TN.
Dr. Coyne received her doctorate of dental surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Illinois and completed her hospital residency at Tufts University and Boston Medical Center. During that time, she established herself as a leader, serving as Chief Resident during her last year of residency.
As part of her commitment to ongoing education, Dr. Coyne is proud to foster the next generation of dental professionals, regularly speaking at meetings and conferences throughout the Nashville, TN area.

When she's not working to create healthier smiles, Dr. Coyne remains actively involved in the community, serving on local boards and sponsoring youth soccer through the Williamson County Soccer Association. She also volunteers regularly for the Interfaith Dental Clinic and has participated in multiple medical mission trips. For the past seven years, she has sat on the board of the Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children.
On the weekends, you can usually find her hiking with her husband, three sons, and their family dog.
My husband had an emergency extraction at Coyn last week. Ashley was amazing at the front desk answering all of my questions and making him as comfortable as possible. Marlena was awesome and took great care of Luke during surgery prep and post care! They were so kind and went above and beyond for us. We are so thankful to have been cared for so well. Our experience was 10/10!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I have severe anxiety with any and all dentistry and I needed several teeth extracted in a hurry. They got me in within the week and talked me through the needed work and suggested several helpful tips. They worked with our insurance and limited funds. Ashley and Marlena were so kind, sweet, and helpful. Dr. Coyne was very kind as well, including helping with meds that the pharmacy "didn't get" after office hours but before the pharmacy closed. I will recommend them to everyone I can from now on.
I had a wonderful experience at Coyne Center. Four wisdom teeth extracted at 71 years old. High anxiety as I anticipated the appointment, but the staff made me feel at ease through the whole process. They're the best!
