Important Patient Information

First Visit

The first visit to Coyne Oral Surgery consists of a consultation walking you through your diagnostic and treatment options. In some cases, surgery may be performed the same day. More often, however, a complex medical history or therapy requires a follow-up appointment for treatment.
Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your surgical referral document and any relevant x-rays
  • A list of your prescribed medications
  • A copy of your current insurance card

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please do not eat or drink for six hours leading up to your surgery. Patients undergoing anesthesia are required to be accompanied by an adult who can drive them home.

Please let our office know prior to surgery if you have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure, artificial heart valves or joints, rheumatic fever, etc.).

What Is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery?

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialized postgraduate dental field that requires years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Coyne cares for an extensive array of health issues related to the mouth, jaw, teeth, and face.

Dr. Coyne practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Her services include dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal, as well as non-invasive procedures such as  JUVÉDERM®.

Surgical Staff

Coyne Oral Surgery’s experienced staff consists of certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. These caring professionals are skilled in assisting in the administration of IV sedation, as well as other aspects of surgical care.

X-Rays

If your dentist or physician has ordered x-rays, please request their office to forward them to Coyne Oral Surgery. If time does not allow for forwarding, please bring these images with you to your appointment. Additional x-rays can be taken at Coyne Oral Surgery if needed.
