A native of Chicago, IL, Dr. Cathleen Coyne has nearly 30 years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She began practicing in 1997, opening up her own practice in Cool Springs in 2004. She is committed to providing compassionate care for her patients, from their initial consultation and diagnosis to post-treatment follow-up. The attentive care and enthusiasm she shows for her patients is what sets Coyne Oral Surgery apart, making our practice one of the leading oral surgery centers in Franklin, TN.
Dr. Coyne received her doctorate of dental surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Illinois and completed her hospital residency at Tufts University and Boston Medical Center. During that time, she established herself as a leader, serving as Chief Resident during her last year of residency.
As part of her commitment to ongoing education, Dr. Coyne is proud to foster the next generation of dental professionals, regularly speaking at meetings and conferences throughout the Nashville, TN area.

When she's not working to create healthier smiles, Dr. Coyne remains actively involved in the community, serving on local boards and sponsoring youth soccer through the Williamson County Soccer Association. She also volunteers regularly for the Interfaith Dental Clinic and has participated in multiple medical mission trips. For the past seven years, she has sat on the board of the Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children.
On the weekends, you can usually find her hiking with her husband, three sons, and their family dog.

In the consultation, she listened attentively to my concerns and took the time to share the information that I was needing to make the right choice with my procedure. Ultimately, when it was all done, her work exceeded my expectations. She went above and beyond what I had hoped for. Her whole staff really makes you feel at home. Marlena was very caring and helpful, always ensuring I felt comfortable throughout my time there. As a patient, having to get dental work done can be frustrating, as you're not sure of the outcome or who you can trust to provide the service you need. Everything was over the top.. from the interior decor to the smiles from the staff. I had a tooth extraction. It took no time. The assistant as well as the entire staff was super nice and comforting. I would definitely recommend Coyne Oral Surgery.
I went in for a cracked tooth extraction and implant. While waiting for that procedure, the staff reviewed my x-rays and recommended taking the wisdom teeth and doing another implant for a tooth extraction from about 5 years back. My wisdom teeth were causing crowding and they guided me to an excellent decision. Since I was there already and was going to be sedated anyway, why not remedy the wisdom teeth issue and do both implants. I didn't feel pressured in any way. It was a great suggestion and I have absolutely no regrets. It was a lot of work in one sitting, but these folks are elite. I'm twelve days post procedure at the time I'm writing this and recovery is going just fine. I highly recommend Coyne.
